STORM ELLIOT AND SHOCKING SEXUAL ASSAULT IN PORTSMOUTH

A soldier serving in the British Army has been dismissed from his position following allegations and subsequent convictions related to a serious sexual assault involving a teenage female colleague.

The incident occurred in Portsmouth, where the soldier, identified as Lance Corporal Storm Elliot, engaged in inappropriate and non-consensual behavior towards the young woman during a night out.

Lance Corporal Elliot, who was in training to become a Royal Military Police officer, was found guilty of multiple misconducts that took place while he was out socializing in Portsmouth.

The court heard that Elliot persistently harassed the female soldier on the dancefloor at a nightclub, despite her clear attempts to reject his advances.

Witnesses testified that Elliot continued to grope her even after she indicated her discomfort and told him to stop.

He had also shouted in her ear, reportedly saying, 'I'm so hard,' which added to the distress of the situation.

According to court proceedings, the victim recounted her experience, describing how Elliot touched her breast inappropriately and attempted to slide his hand up her skirt.

She emphasized that she pushed his hand away and felt confused and frightened by his behavior.

As she felt something under her dress, she hurriedly left the scene, seeking refuge with a friend.

She revealed her fears about reporting the incident, expressing concern that, due to Elliot's rank as an RMP officer, her accusations might not be believed.

The court also learned that Elliot had become infatuated with the young woman after they met at the Popworld nightclub in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

He had approached her, complimenting her appearance and shouting in her ear over loud music to get her attention.

Despite being told 'no' multiple times, Elliot persisted in trying to kiss her and continued to push his advances even after she withdrew.

A friend of the victim described Elliot as a 'lovesick puppy,' noting that he introduced himself as 'Lance Corporal Elliot' and appeared somewhat odd during the encounter.

After a two-day trial, the military tribunal concluded that Elliot's actions were unwanted and exceeded the boundaries of acceptable behavior.

The verdict found that he had indeed grabbed the young woman’s crotch, an act deemed serious enough to warrant disciplinary measures.

At sentencing, the military court dismissed Elliot from service and imposed a three-year community order.

This order includes requirements for him to complete 35 sessions of an approved sexual offender behavior program and undertake 30 days of rehabilitative activities.

Furthermore, Elliot is mandated to register as a sex offender for a period of five years, reflecting the severity of his misconduct.

Throughout the proceedings, the court emphasized that alcohol consumption did not serve as an excuse for the behavior exhibited by Elliot on that night.

The judge advocate general, Alan Large, addressed Elliot directly, stating that the offenses committed were of a serious nature, deserving of his removal from the military.

He remarked, 'You were drunk and found the victim attractive.

On the dancefloor, you touched her on her breast when it was clear she did not want your attention.

There are two offences - not just one.

Alcohol may explain a person's behavior, but it does not excuse it.

There are two offences and clearly one of them is more serious - serious enough to warrant dismissal.' This case underscores the importance of accountability and the strict consequences faced by members of the armed forces found guilty of misconduct, especially involving vulnerable individuals.

The incident has cast a spotlight on issues of sexual misconduct within military circles and the ongoing efforts to address such breaches of conduct.
