SEAN WARREN FROM NUNEATON JAILED FOR GROOMING 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN SHOCKING ONLINE SCANDAL
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Nuneaton, Sean Warren, aged 24, has been sentenced to four years in prison after being found guilty of grooming a 15-year-old girl for sexual activity.The court heard that Warren, who resided on Bracebridge Street in Nuneaton, engaged in a prolonged and manipulative online campaign to exploit the young girl, even after his marriage had begun.
Warren’s criminal activities came to light after the girl confided in her older sister, who then informed their mother.
This led to police involvement and a subsequent investigation that uncovered Warren’s disturbing online behavior.
During the proceedings, it was revealed that Warren had used the alias Dave Kirk to communicate with the girl through an online messaging platform starting in February of the previous year.
Initially, Warren, who was engaged at the time, used a photograph that appeared significantly younger than his actual age of 23, although he later posted a more mature image.
The girl openly disclosed her age from the outset, informing Warren that she was only 15.
Despite this, Warren told her he had seen her in her school uniform and proceeded to ask her to be his girlfriend.
He also requested explicit photographs, which she sent—three or four fully nude images—while he reciprocated with similar pictures of himself.
Their contact escalated to hours-long live Skype video chats, during which Warren would often discuss mundane daily topics but also engaged in sexual conversations.
It was admitted that approximately 40% of their interactions involved sexual content.
Over weekends, Warren would spend most of his time on Skype with the girl, encouraging her to perform sexual acts on herself, which she did up to 60 times.
Warren also performed sexual acts on camera himself, further demonstrating his manipulative behavior.
Plans were made for the girl and Warren to meet in person at Liverpool’s Lime Street station, with intentions to stay overnight at a hotel.
However, the meeting never materialized after Warren claimed he lacked sufficient funds.
Following his arrest, Warren admitted that he had intended to engage in sexual intercourse and oral sex with the girl but decided against it, citing the need to get to know each other better and the fact that he was already married.
It was also revealed that Warren was aware of the girl’s vulnerability, including her previous attempts at suicide due to conflicts with her parents.
This knowledge underscored the predatory nature of his actions.
The grooming was further exposed when the girl’s sister and mother learned of the situation, prompting police intervention.
Warren instructed the girl to delete all pictures of him from her phone, and when his device was later seized, it was found to have been reset to erase evidence.
The girl provided a statement describing the profound influence Warren had over her, stating, “My concern for him over-rode my concern for myself and my family.
I now realize he had a manipulative power over me.” Her words highlighted the extent of his psychological control and exploitation.
During the hearing, Warren’s defense attorney, Nick Devine, acknowledged the devastating impact of his client’s actions, noting that Warren’s life had been significantly disrupted.
His marriage had ended, and he had resigned from his job, which he believed he would not regain.
Devine also emphasized that Warren had been honest with police and had no clear explanation for his behavior.
Judge Alan Parker addressed Warren directly, condemning his actions as “very serious,” given the amount of time he spent persuading the girl and attempting to meet her.
The judge noted that the pre-sentence report indicated Warren posed a high risk of harm to female children, although he clarified that there was no evidence suggesting a significant risk of serious harm.
Warren was ordered to register as a sex offender for life, and the court emphasized the gravity of his misconduct in this case.
