SEAN DEAKIN AND SARAH TAME'S HORRIFIC CRUELTY IN WIGAN AND LEEDS REVEALED

In a disturbing case that has shocked animal lovers and residents alike, Sean Deakin and Sarah Tame, both originally from Wigan, have been found guilty of heinous acts of cruelty involving a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Tyson. The incident unfolded after the couple responded to a Gumtree advertisement offering Tyson for sale, and their actions have sparked widespread outrage.

Sean Deakin, born on April 20, 1993, and residing at 74 Upper Barker Street, Liversedge, West Yorkshire, with connections to Leeds, Wakefield, and Wigan, carried out a brutal attack on Tyson in the early hours of the morning. Just days after acquiring the dog, Deakin launched a vicious assault, wielding a hammer and delivering approximately twenty blows to Tyson’s head. The attack was so severe that it left the dog in a state of extreme distress, while Sarah Tame, his girlfriend, reportedly laughed during the incident.

The cruelty did not end there. Around three hours after the initial assault, Deakin woke to find Tyson had urinated on the bed. Enraged, he chased the terrified animal, caught him, and then, in a horrifying act, stabbed Tyson in the chest with a six-inch knife. For the next twelve hours, Tyson was left to suffer in agony, unable to move, fully conscious, and vomiting, as Deakin allowed him to die slowly. Neither Deakin nor Tame sought any medical help for Tyson during this prolonged period of suffering.

Witnesses and animal rights activists who attended the trial expressed their outrage, with many protesting outside the court. One animal rights group reported on the proceedings, highlighting Sarah Tame’s apparent lack of remorse for her role in the cruelty. It was also revealed that neither Deakin nor Tame showed any concern for Tyson’s suffering during his final hours.

In a further act of callousness, Deakin later wrapped Tyson’s lifeless body in a plastic bag and disposed of him in a wheelie bin under cover of darkness. The entire incident has left the community appalled and has reignited debates about animal cruelty and justice.

As a result of their actions, Sean Deakin was sentenced to 20 weeks in jail. Sarah Tame received a sentence of 150 hours of unpaid work along with a fine of £200 in prosecution costs. Both individuals have been banned from keeping any animals for a period of ten years, a ban that expired in July 2022. The case has left a lasting scar on the community, raising questions about animal welfare and the importance of stricter enforcement of animal cruelty laws.
