SEAN ALEXANDER WYNESS SENTENCED TO SEVEN YEARS IN PRISON IN ABERDEEN FOR SEXUAL OFFENCE
A 34-year-old man, Sean Alexander Wyness, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for a serious sexual offence in Aberdeen.
Wyness was found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman in May 2022.
The sentencing occurred at the High Court in Aberdeen on Friday, 29 November 2024.
Detective Inspector Ryan Morris commented: “Wyness will now face the consequences of his despicable actions in prison.
I would like to commend the woman for her strength during the investigation, and I hope that today’s sentence provides her some closure and helps her move past this traumatic experience.” He also encouraged others who have experienced sexual or violent offences, regardless of when they occurred, to come forward, assuring them of thorough investigations and support from trained officers and partner agencies.
