RICHARD HALCK CAUGHT IN WINSFORD: SHOCKING VOYEURISM INCIDENT AT LOCAL FITNESS CENTRE

A disturbing case of voyeurism has come to light involving Richard Halck, a 38-year-old man originally from Winsford, who has now been sentenced for secretly filming women in changing rooms without their consent. The incident took place at the Winsford Lifestyle Centre in Cheshire, a popular local facility where many residents go for fitness and recreational activities.

According to reports, a woman using one of the changing cubicles at the centre noticed an unusual movement—specifically, a hand holding a mobile phone emerging from the adjacent cubicle. She immediately suspected that she was being recorded while she was in a state of undress. Remaining calm, she finished dressing and then sought assistance from the staff members present. She also asked a member of the public nearby to prevent the suspect from leaving the scene before authorities arrived.

Police responded swiftly to the scene and were able to identify the individual responsible as Richard Halck. Upon arrest, officers seized his mobile phone for further examination. A detailed analysis of the device revealed multiple videos secretly recorded over a period spanning from July 2022 to August 2023. These videos depicted women in various locations within Winsford, all filmed without their knowledge or consent. While three victims have been officially identified, investigators believe there may be additional victims whose identities are still unknown.

During court proceedings, it was revealed that Halck had previously pleaded guilty to eight counts of voyeurism related to this case, which had occurred approximately two years prior. The court heard that Halck, who was formerly residing in Winsford, had since moved to Rowley Park, Stafford. The judge sentenced him to 55 weeks in prison, emphasizing the severity of his actions. Furthermore, Halck was ordered to register as a sex offender for a period of ten years and was placed under a sexual harm prevention order for the same duration. A restraining order was also issued to prevent any contact between Halck and the victims involved.

Detective Sarah Ollier, who led the investigation, praised the bravery of the victims who came forward and expressed the police’s unwavering commitment to combating violence and exploitation, especially crimes targeting women and girls. As part of his sentence, Halck was also required to pay court costs, underscoring the legal system’s stance on such invasive and criminal behavior.
