April 2008 Man, 61, fondled 14-year-old girl’s breasts A FORMER Winsford man has been given a three-year supervision order for sexually touching a 14-year-old girl. Denys McAllan, 61, who previously lived in Victoria Square, pleaded guilty to the offence, which took place on November 14 last year. A section 39 order was made during sentencing at Chester Crown Court on Friday, April 4, meaning the girl and where the incident took place cannot be identified. McAllan was made to sign the Sex Offenders Register, told to stay at a residence in Merseybank in Manchester for a period of up to six months, and ordered to attend the Northumbria Sex Offender Groupwork Programme. Prosecutor Desmond Parry said that at 6.30pm on the night in question McAllan went into the living room of a house with the girl. She showed him how to use a recliner chair and he sat down next to her. McAllan then rested his head on her shoulder before putting his hands underneath her school shirt and touching her breasts. The girl shrugged McAllan off her and went home. Sentencing McAllan, Recorder of Chester Judge Elgan Edwards said: “What you did was very wrong and you know it was very wrong. “It was a moment of madness on your part and I hope it will never happen again. I hope that this is the first and last time that you appear in this court.” McAllan appeared solemn and stood motionless in the dock as the sentence was read out.
