DAVE SHAW SENTENCED IN CREWE AND WINSFORD FOR SERIOUS SEXUAL OFFENCES AGAINST CHILD

In January 2021, a man named David Shaw faced the consequences of his criminal actions when he was sentenced for committing a grave sexual offence involving a young child. Shaw, who was formerly residing in Winsford but more recently based in Crewe, was found guilty of a serious sexual offence against a minor under the age of five.

His trial took place on the 31st of January, 2022, at Chester Crown Court. During the proceedings, the court established that Shaw had engaged in unlawful sexual activity with a young person known to him, a revelation that shocked the local communities of Crewe and Winsford.

Following his conviction, Shaw was sentenced to a term of three years and six months in prison. The court also imposed a sexual harm prevention order aimed at safeguarding children and preventing any further offences. This order restricts Shaw from having any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16, and he is prohibited from living in the same household as a child under 16 without prior written approval from children’s social services.

Additionally, Shaw is barred from making any contact with the victim involved in the case. These measures are part of the court’s efforts to protect vulnerable minors and ensure that Shaw does not pose a further risk to children in the Crewe and Winsford areas.
