March 2006 Bray to be supervised A WINSFORD man who exposed his genitals to three young girls as they walked to school has been issued with a supervision order. Timothy Peter Bray,30, of Malvern Way, was sentenced in Northwich Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday after being found guilty following a trial in Crewe earlier this month. Bray was given a supervision order for 24 months and made to sign the sex offenders’ register for five years for the offences which took place on May 10, 11 and 12 last year. The three girls, aged 14 and 15, were walking to Woodford Lodge High School when they saw Bray standing naked inside his house with his hands on his hips on three separate occasions. Bray claimed he did not realise the girls could see him but a jury decided he had intentionally exposed himself during the trial. Det Sgt Snasdell, from Winsford Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: “This is an appropriate sentence handed out by the courts. “He exposed himself intentionally to three young girls and has now been dealt with by the courts. “He had the opportunity to plead guilty to this offence but chose to take it to trial.” Det Sgt Snasdell has also praised the three young victims for their bravery throughout the legal proceedings. He said: “Because Bray decided to take this to trial he put the girls through the distress of giving evidence in court. “They gave good evidence which resulted in this conviction and that isn’t an easy thing to do for someone so young. “The ordeal is now over for them and this is a satisfactory conclusion.” Bray was also ordered to pay £250 court costs.
