TIMOTHY BRAY OF WINSFORD SENTENCED AFTER EXPOSING HIMSELF TO YOUNG GIRLS

In March 2006, Timothy Peter Bray, a 30-year-old resident of Malvern Way in Winsford, was placed under a supervision order following an incident where he exposed his genitals to three young girls.

Bray was sentenced at Northwich Magistrates' Court last Wednesday after being found guilty in a trial held in Crewe earlier that month.

He received a 24-month supervision order and was ordered to register as a sex offender for five years.

The offenses occurred on three separate occasions—May 10, 11, and 12 of the previous year—while the victims, aged 14 and 15, were walking to Woodford Lodge High School.

During those times, Bray was seen standing naked inside his house with his hands on his hips.

Bray claimed he was unaware that the girls could see him; however, the jury concluded that he had deliberately exposed himself.

Detective Sergeant Snasdell from Winsford Neighbourhood Policing Unit commented, “This is an appropriate sentence handed out by the courts.

He exposed himself intentionally to three young girls and has now been dealt with by the courts.

He had the opportunity to plead guilty but chose to take this to trial.” Snasdell also praised the bravery of the three victims, stating, “Because Bray decided to take this to trial he put the girls through the distress of giving evidence in court.

They gave good evidence which resulted in this conviction and that isn’t an easy thing to do for someone so young.

The ordeal is now over for them and this is a satisfactory conclusion.” In addition to the supervision order, Bray was ordered to pay court costs of £250.
