ABERDEEN PENSIONER JAILED FOR PUBLIC INDECENCY AND EXHIBITIONISM
A pensioner named Raymond Robertson was involved in a series of disturbing public incidents. He pulled down his trousers at a bus stop and exposed himself to women and children, engaging in sexual acts in public.
On more than one occasion, he was seen alighting from a bus in Aberdeen then carrying out these acts.
During one incident, a mother with her child intervened and asked Robertson to stop, to which he responded by suggesting she should perform a sex act on him.
He further made inappropriate remarks involving children nearby.
Just days after, he was spotted walking outside his home completely naked except for a facemask, which he wore below his chin.
This led to police involvement, and Robertson was arrested.
He admitted to being naked in public and denied the allegations, claiming he had merely urinated to avoid wetting himself, denying any wrongdoing.
The court heard that his behavior was alcohol-related and he couldn’t recall the incidents.
Robertson pleaded guilty to four charges including exposing himself to two women while engaging in sexual activity, threatening and disorderly conduct.
The court sentenced him to a two-year community payback order, including supervision, 120 hours of unpaid work, and ordered him to seek help for his alcohol issues.
He was also placed on the sex offenders register for two years.
