July 2013 Man jailed for 12 years after beating up and raping two partners – Also had indecent images of children A man who beat up and raped his two partners in “brutal and degrading” attacks has been jailed for 12 years. Przemyslaw Rogowski was sentenced by judge John Beckett QC at the High Court in Glasgow on Thursday. The 33-year-old was convicted of assaulting and sexually abusing the two women over an eight-year period. Judge Beckett told Rogowski that he considered him a danger to the public and ordered him to be monitored for four years after his release from jail. He added: “Woman and the public have to be protected from harm.” Rogowski was caught after one of his victims reported him to the police for having a stash of child abuse images. The court heard that Rogowski had 109 vile photos of children. Prosecutor Tim Niven-Smith said: “It appears that the accused has a predilection for female children aged six to 12 years and an interest in rape-related pornography. “This is significant as his two victims were beaten and raped by the accused. Not only did Mr Rogowski watch such things, but he carried then out at home. He is a controlling man, an aggressive man, a violent man.” Both woman, in their evidence, told of how at first Rogowski was the perfect gentleman, charming, caring, affectionate and loving. But in each case as soon as he moved in with the woman he became increasingly violent. Rogowski, who comes from Poland, met his partners who were both Scottish in Glasgow. Throughout his two-week trial denied all the charges against him and claimed the women were making it all up.
