PHILLIP AUSTIN AND THE TRAIN INCIDENT IN SOUTHAMPTON
In March 2019, a man was caught engaging in a sexual act on himself aboard a train in Southampton.Phillip Austin was observed performing the act in front of another passenger while the train was at Southampton Central Station, the court was informed.
Austin, 29 years old and of Wills Road, Poole, appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded guilty to a charge of outraging public decency.
On that day, he was sentenced to a community order that will remain in place until 2022.
Additionally, Austin was ordered to pay a victim surcharge as well as court costs totaling £170.
