July 2022 Child sex pervert from Kidderminster jailed A Kidderminster pensioner has been jailed for more than two-and-a-half years after attempting to arrange the commission of a child sex offence. Peter Joyce, of Shaw Avenue, pleaded guilty to two charges when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, June 11. Joyce admitted attempting to facilitate an act that he intended another person to do, involving the commission of a sexual assault offence involving a seven-year-old child. The 68-year-old also pleaded guilty to attempted breach of a sexual harm prevention order by attempting to contact the child indirectly. Both offences were committed between May 11 and June 10 2022. At Worcester Crown Court on Friday (July 8), Joyce was sentenced to 32 months imprisonment. He will also be placed on the sex offenders register for ten years.
