STANLEY CARTER'S KIDDERMINSTER HOME TARGETED AFTER SEX OFFENSE CHARGES
In November 2000, the home of sex offender Stanley Carter in Kidderminster was vandalized following his recent charges.
The Worcester Crown Court was informed that his windows had been broken, and an attempt was made to set fire to the block of flats where he resided, according to his barrister, Adam Western.
Carter, 50, of Cherry Orchard, pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent assault.
He received a four-month prison sentence and was placed on the sex offenders' register for seven years.
His victims were two girls aged 13 and 14 who had visited his flat for television and tea.
Although Carter admitted to placing his hands on their breasts above their clothes, he denied showing them explicit movies, as prosecutor Tony Fryer stated.
It was revealed that Carter had previous convictions, including a 1972 fine for unlawful sex with a 15-year-old girl and a 1996 caution for indecent assault on a 14-year-old.
His solicitor, Mr.
Western, mentioned that these recent offenses were not the worst in their category.
He also noted that Carter acknowledged his wrongdoing and had pleaded guilty to avoid the trauma of giving evidence.
