GRAHAM PARKIN SENTENCED IN KIDDERMINSTER FOR VOYEURISM INVOLVING SCHOOLGIRL IN TELFORD
In March 2013, a disturbing case emerged involving Graham Parkin, a 42-year-old managing director of a transport courier company based in Telford.Over a span of two years, Parkin secretly used a recording device to capture images of a teenage girl, who was between the ages of 14 and 16 at the time, in private settings including her bathroom and bedroom.
This covert activity was carried out without the girl’s knowledge or consent, causing significant concern and outrage within the community.
Parkin’s actions came to light when authorities uncovered the recordings, leading to his appearance before Kidderminster magistrates court.
There, he pleaded guilty to charges of voyeurism and the observation of a child, acknowledging the gravity of his misconduct.
The court sentenced him to a total of 12 months in prison, with two consecutive six-month sentences, reflecting the seriousness of his offenses.
Following his conviction, the court imposed strict conditions that Parkin must adhere to upon his release.
These include a prohibition from residing in the same household as any female under the age of 16, as well as a ban on any form of communication with female minors under that age.
Additionally, he is required to make all recording equipment available for inspection upon request, and his internet activity must not be deleted but kept accessible for review.
These measures aim to prevent any further misconduct and ensure public safety.
Furthermore, Graham Parkin has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for a period of five years, signifying the ongoing monitoring and restrictions placed upon him due to the nature of his crimes.
