OLIVER CARR AND SHOCKING CHILD SEXUAL OFFENSES IN DERBYSHIRE
A teenage individual has been convicted and sentenced for committing serious sexual offenses against young children in Derbyshire.Oliver Carr, who was 18 years old at the time of the incidents, deliberately targeted two young victims, fully aware of their ages.
The first incident occurred in March of this year at a McDonald's restaurant located in Swadlincote.
During his shift at the fast-food outlet, Carr took a girl under the age of 10 into a storage cupboard, where he locked the door and engaged in inappropriate touching.
The young girl confided in her family about what had happened, prompting them to contact the police.
Law enforcement officers responded swiftly and arrested Carr at the scene.
While officers were still investigating the initial incident at McDonald's, a second young girl came forward to report that Carr had been sending her sexually explicit messages.
Further inquiries revealed that Carr had met with this girl on two separate occasions, during which he kissed and touched her.
It was established that the girl was under 16 at the time, and Carr was aware of her young age.
Carr was detained in the early hours of March 13 and faced formal charges related to his actions.
Now aged 19, he pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including two counts of sexual touching, engaging in sexual communication with a child, and attempting to meet a girl under 16 following grooming behavior.
He appeared before Derby Crown Court for sentencing on Tuesday, November 28.
The court sentenced Carr to 18 months in prison.
Additionally, he was subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and restraining orders that prohibit any contact with the victims or other minors.
He was also ordered to register as a sex offender, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities to protect the community from further harm.
