LIVERPOOL MAN BAILED FOR ASSAULT AND THREATENING BEHAVIOUR
In Liverpool Magistrates Court, Marcus Miller, 25, of Vernon Street, St Helens, faced charges related to assault and threatening behaviour. He was accused of assaulting his girlfriend and threatening her with violence, including straps of force and threatening to harm her and her child.
The court proceedings revealed that Miller's actions followed a relationship dispute, with the victim recounting how he 'came out of court in January well-intentioned' but then 'fell off a cliff and started to disengage,' leading to further violence.
The defense argued that he was suffering from mental health issues and was under the influence of drugs at the time.
The judge, Healey, pointed out the seriousness of the offences, describing them as 'exceptionally serious,' and concluded that they could not be dealt with in the magistrates court.
Consequently, Miller was bailed to appear for sentencing at Liverpool Crown Court on March 27.
