ABERDEEN MAN SENT REVENGE IMAGES AND SHARED INTIMATE PHOTOS
An individual from Aberdeen, named Marc Milne, has been involved in a case concerning the sharing of intimate images.
Milne encouraged a fellow student to send him explicit photos via Snapchat, which she did on December 31.
After she blocked him following the exchange, Milne branded her a "scumbag" for allegedly cheating on her boyfriend and threatened to share the images with others, especially her boyfriend.
Later, her boyfriend received messages containing the intimate images, which prompted concern and communication.
The court heard that Milne acted out of an "abusive sense of revenge" rather than any sexual motive, aiming to embarrass her.
The defense claimed Milne believed the woman’s boyfriend had a right to know about the photos and that his actions were motivated by revenge.
He was ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and was subject to a one-year supervision order.
