ABERDEEN MAN FINED FOR TV SMASHED IN DOMESTIC ROW OVER VOMIT
A man named Liam George was fined after an incident where he smashed his television during an argument with his girlfriend about him having vomited in their home. The incident occurred after George, aged 25, had been out drinking with his partner and returned home in the early hours of July 25, having become sick inside the house.
When the couple argued over the vomit, George reacted by shouting, swearing, and punching his own television set, which caused it to smash.
Neighbors contacted police, leading to George's arrest.
He previously pleaded guilty to threatening or abusive behavior related to this event, which took place at an address on Guild Street.
George also admitted to failing to comply with a bail condition.
He had been ordered to pay a total fine of £555.
Court proceedings revealed that George "began to throw things across the room and punched the television set, causing it to smash".
His defense argued that despite the fallout, his girlfriend now "wants him back home".
The sheriff ordered the fine without additional custodial sentence.
George, from Moir Crescent, Aberdeen, was also noted for his threatening behavior during the incident, and the case was handled at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
