June 2012 Show pervert bugs kid stars THE star of a seaside theatre musical planted miniature cameras to film a teenage actress and four schoolgirl dancers in their underwear. Lee Rawstron, 35, sneaked into their changing rooms while they were on stage to hide high-definition recording devices in a waste bin. But he was caught when one girl threw away a chocolate wrapper and spotted the three tiny bugs shaped like key fobs. Cops who raided Rawstron’s home found more footage from another camera he had planted in the toilets at Brixham Theatre, South Devon. Judge Phillip Wassall told graphic designer Rawstron: “To describe this as foul and depraved underestimates what the public will think about it.” Rawstron, of Paignton, who played Bill in Brixham Operatic and Amateur Dramatic Society’s performance of Me And My Girl, admitted four offences of voyeurism. He must attend a sex offenders’ course under a three-year community order. Kevin Hopper, defending, told Exeter Crown Court that Rawstron was “very sorry” and wanted treatment.
