DOMESTIC ABUSER JAILED FOLLOWING FOUR YEAR CAMPAIGN OF ABUSE
A man received a prison sentence of over two years following a prolonged period of domestic abuse against his former partner.
James Michael Bilsborrow, 38 years old and from Fazakerley, was sentenced to 27 months in prison.
In addition, he was handed a seven-year restraining order after admitting to multiple serious charges.
The court was informed that on August 4, 2025, the victim contacted law enforcement to report harassment by her ex-partner.
During the investigation, she revealed that she had endured approximately four years of abuse, which involved several violent episodes.
Bilsborrow was charged with nine criminal offenses and later admitted guilt to six of these charges, which included intentional strangulation, harassment causing fear of violence, two counts of malicious communications, threatening someone with an offensive weapon, and four counts of assault by beating.
