ABERDEEN MAN JACK REID SENTENCED FOR FIVE-YEAR SEXUAL ABUSE CAMPAIGN
A man has been sentenced for a five-year campaign of sexual abuse involving a man, a woman and two children in Aberdeen.22-year-old Jack Reid was sentenced today at the High Court in Edinburgh to nine years and six months in prison after being convicted of the crimes on August 12.
Reid's crimes took place over the course of five years between 2017 and 2022 in Aberdeen and Edinburgh.
Police Scotland has described his actions as having caused "distress and suffering" to his victims that is "difficult to comprehend".
They added that he will "now face the consequences of his actions in prison".
Detective Constable Sara Duncan said: “It’s difficult to comprehend the distress and suffering Reid caused those involved in this case.
I hope today’s sentencing offers them some closure.
He will now face the consequences of his actions in prison.
