ABERDEEN MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO SEXUAL ASSAULT AFTER DOG WALKER INCIDENT
A man has been placed on the sex offender’s register after he sexually assaulted and propositioned a dog walker when the man’s pet ran into his home.Girwood Anderson appeared in the dock at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and admitted grabbing the man around the hips and buttocks as he tried to retrieve his dog from a property on King Street in Aberdeen.The court heard the shocked dog walker went home and told his wife about the incident, and then received a sexually explicit Snapchat message from Anderson, 46, in which he offered to perform a sex act on the man.Accused grabbed man when dog entered house for the second timeThe prosecution stated that on September 9 last year, the man was walking his dog around 2.10 pm near his address, and when his dog ran into Anderson’s house, he apologized and asked to retrieve it.Anderson allowed entry, and during their conversation, Anderson asked to add him on Snapchat, which he agreed to.
Later, as the dog entered a second time, Anderson again made the dog owner retrieve it, and while passing through the doorway, Anderson grabbed his hips and lower buttocks.Sex act Snapchat messagesShocked, the man said nothing and went home.
Later, he received two Snapchat messages from Anderson, one with a picture of Anderson’s face and another with a message suggesting he was willing to perform oral sex, saying "it’s all good." Anderson pleaded guilty to sexual assault and making sexual remarks.
The defense requested background reports before sentencing.
The court deferred sentence until the following month for social work and restriction of liberty order assessments.
The sheriff also officially placed Anderson on the sex offender’s register.
