DAWID GIERASIMCZUK FROM ABERDEEN SENTENCED FOR VIOLENT AND RACIST THREATS AGAINST EX-PARTNER
Dawid Gierasimczuk, a 40-year-old man from Aberdeen, has been legally ordered to stay away from his former partner following a series of alarming and aggressive behaviors that culminated in a court appearance. The incident stemmed from Gierasimczuk's reaction to his partner revealing her pregnancy, which he responded to with violent threats and racist remarks.Gierasimczuk appeared before Aberdeen Sheriff Court, where he admitted to making menacing and racially charged threats towards the woman. Instead of offering congratulations upon her sharing a positive pregnancy test, he issued a chilling warning that he would 'do hell for her' once he returned home. He also stated that he would 'go back to jail' if necessary to carry out his threats. His violent conduct extended beyond words; court documents detail an incident on May 2, 2023, at their shared residence on Barvas Walk, Aberdeen, where he placed his hands around the woman’s throat for approximately a minute during an argument. During this assault, he also brandished a lamp at her before leaving the scene.
In addition to this, Gierasimczuk spat directly into the woman's face during another altercation, further demonstrating his aggressive behavior. Following her announcement of pregnancy, the woman received a barrage of threatening messages demanding she terminate the pregnancy, along with additional threats of violence. These messages caused her significant distress and fear for her safety.
On the night of October 24, 2023, during a particularly heated argument, Gierasimczuk stood over the woman as she lay on the ground, intensifying her fear. During this confrontation, he shouted racist slurs, including remarks such as 'you’re black' and 'black people are not nice,' while also threatening her with physical harm. Fearing for her safety, the woman contacted police, providing them with screenshots of threatening messages and audio recordings of their arguments.
Gierasimczuk ultimately pleaded guilty to charges of abusive conduct towards his former partner. In sentencing, the court imposed a community payback order with supervision, requiring him to complete 210 hours of unpaid work. He was also mandated to participate in a domestic abuse intervention program. Furthermore, a non-harassment order was issued, prohibiting him from approaching or contacting the woman for a period of three years, in an effort to protect her from further harm.
