Febuary 2006 Child-porn teacher barred from classroom A PRIMARY school teacher who downloaded child pornography from the internet has been banned from returning to the classroom. David Preston pleaded guilty at Paisley Sheriff Court last July and was placed on probation. The General Teaching Council (GTC) for Scotland announced yesterday that following a disciplinary hearing last month, Preston, 48, had now been removed from the teachers’ register. A statement issued by the GTC said their disciplinary sub-committee had found Preston, a former teacher at Brediland Primary School in Paisley, had been found guilty of “a relevant offence”.
