COLIN DICK FROM ABERDEEN SENTENCED FOR HISTORIC ABUSE OF YOUNG GIRLS
A man named Colin Dick, aged 56 and residing in Aberdeen, has been sentenced by Aberdeen Sheriff Court to undertake unpaid community work after admitting to a series of historic physical assaults committed against four young girls.The court proceedings revealed a disturbing pattern of behavior spanning several years, involving multiple violent episodes that left lasting scars on the victims.
During the sentencing hearing, the court detailed some of the most troubling incidents.
One such incident involved Dick attempting to lock a young girl inside a cupboard, only to drag her back out when she tried to escape.
In another case, he forcibly pushed a girl out of a vehicle, an act that resulted in her sustaining a permanent scar.
These acts were part of a broader pattern of violence, which included restraining girls in chokeholds and sitting on their backs, often while referencing his own past experiences of being assaulted.
The court was shown video evidence of Dick restraining a girl against her protests, further illustrating the severity of his actions.
Although Dick initially pleaded guilty to the charges, he later attempted to withdraw his plea.
Despite this, the court proceeded with the sentencing based on the evidence and his admissions.
As part of his punishment, he was handed a community payback order that includes supervised probation for two years, a requirement to complete 250 hours of unpaid work, and a non-harassment order that prevents him from approaching three of his victims.
