CHRISTON MACKIE ABERDEEN DOMESTIC ABUSER ESCAPES PRISON DESPITE VIOLENT PAST
Christon Mackie, a man with a troubling history of violence against women, appeared before Aberdeen Sheriff Court to face charges related to a recent domestic assault.The 33-year-old, who previously served time for a brutal attack that resulted in a rugby player losing an eye in 2010, pled guilty to assaulting his current partner during a court trial.
According to court reports, Mackie’s latest assault occurred on November 13 of the previous year at an address in Cove, Aberdeen.
The incident unfolded after Mackie returned home from a local pub, where he reportedly consumed alcohol before turning violent towards the woman he was living with.
The court heard that Mackie poured a bottle of ketchup over her head, an act that was part of a series of aggressive behaviors during the attack.
During the assault, Mackie seized the woman by the neck, attempting to choke her, and forcibly inserted his fingers into her nose and down her throat, causing her significant distress and injury.
The court was told that he then grabbed her clothing and forced her into a shower, which he subsequently turned on, further intimidating and harming her.
As she tried to escape the violence, Mackie pursued her, attempting to drag her back into the property, which resulted in additional injuries.
Witnesses and the victim herself described the incident as terrifying and violent.
