June 2003 Pervert is jailed for six years A MARRIED factory worker who subjected an 11-year old schoolgirl to a catalogue of perverted abuse was jailed for six years. Carl Jakubowski, 35, made the youngster carry out a series of sex acts upon him in return for gifts of pens and tights. Sick Jakubowski once bought the girl a CD player before telling her “You owe me one” and making her perform a sex act. Jakubowski was arrested when his victim collapsed in tears at school. But the cowardly paedophile then contacted her saying she had to retract her claims or she would go to prison. At Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester, Jakubowski, formerly of Athol Street, Eccles, pleaded guilty to 10 charges of indecent assault and indecency with a child and perverting the course of justice. He was ordered to sign the Sex Offender Register for life. Earlier prosecutor June Morris told how the sexual assaults took place in various locations including one near a school and another near a Tesco store. Jakubowski also performed sex acts on the girl, when she wore her school uniform. Miss Morris said: “He asked for her to perform for items for school including tights or pens. The girl told Jakubowski she wanted a CD player for Christmas. He duly bought her one then made her perform a sex act again. Police were called in after the girl confided in school staff about her ordeal. Mark Savill, defending, said Jakubowski despised himself for what he had done. Mr Savill added: “He has seen a psychiatrist. He wishes to receive help.” Judge John Burke QC told him: “You used your victim as a toy to gratify your perverted instincts. These experiences will stay with her for the rest of her life.”
