A teenage boy has escaped a prison sentence after being convicted of sexually abusing his 10-year-old stepsister.

In 2015, Ben King of Portsmouth appeared in court and was found guilty of raping a child under the age of 13 as well as sexually assaulting a child under 13.

It was revealed during the trial that the assault occurred in 2010, when King was a teenager.

As a result of his conviction, King was sentenced to a two-year youth rehabilitation order with supervision requirements.

Additionally, he was classified as a category 1 registered sex offender and assigned a level 2 risk management classification.
