November 2012 Ex-RAF man sentenced for having indecent images of children A FORMER RAF serviceman today avoided a jail sentence after admitting downloading indecent images of children for a second time. Sex offender Alasdair Ewen, 38, who appeared for sentencing at Aberdeen Sheriff Court, admitted that he took, permitted to be taken or made indecent photographs of children at addresses in Deemount Road, Aberdeen, and Loirston Avenue, Cove Bay. He also admitted a breach of bail conditions by using the internet. Ewen was sentenced to a community payback order for three years, and will have to take part in the community sex offenders’ programme. He was also given 100 hours of unpaid work . Five years ago Ewen was fined £2,000 and put on the sex offenders’ register for five years at Elgin Sheriff Court after he admitted downloading 238 indecent images and being in possession of a further 47 images on floppy discs.
