ADAM PULLEN FROM MALVERN SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES AND VOYEURISM IN WORCESTER

In a case that has shocked the community of Malvern, Adam Pullen, a young man with a troubling history of developing an interest in pornography from the age of 16, was found guilty of serious sexual offenses involving a minor. The incidents came to light during proceedings at Worcester Crown Court, revealing a disturbing pattern of behavior that included not only sexual activity with a 12-year-old girl but also invasive voyeuristic acts.

According to prosecutor Jason Aris, Pullen, now 20 years old and residing on Orford Way in Malvern, engaged in sexual intercourse with a girl who was only 12 years old at the time. The girl, who reportedly had a crush on Pullen, was significantly younger and vulnerable, raising grave concerns about the exploitation involved. The court was also informed that Pullen had installed a hidden spy camera in a friend’s bathroom, which he used to secretly record a 19-year-old girl while she was showering. These acts of voyeurism demonstrated a pattern of invasive and predatory behavior.

At the time of the offenses, Pullen was 18 years old. He pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including engaging in sexual activity with a child, voyeurism, and possessing indecent photographs of a minor on his computer. The court heard that social services had initiated an investigation after rumors about Pullen’s conduct surfaced at a local school, prompting further scrutiny of his activities.

Initially, Pullen denied having sexual intercourse with the girl, but medical examinations confirmed the allegations. The evidence was irrefutable, leading to his conviction. During the sentencing hearing, Pullen’s defense lawyer, Simon Burn, argued that there had been no coercion involved and described the relationship as experimental behavior between two young individuals. Burn also noted that Pullen had obtained the spy camera through a magazine, suggesting a lack of malicious intent.

Further details revealed that Pullen had lost his job due to these allegations and that his aspirations of attending university or joining the police force were now unattainable. Despite the serious nature of his crimes, his family remained supportive. His mother testified that she had tried to guide him and expressed pride in her son, despite the circumstances.

Judge Patrick Thomas QC sentenced Pullen to three years in a Young Offenders Institution. The judge also imposed a Sexual Offences Prevention Order, restricting Pullen’s uncontrolled use of the internet for ten years, and mandated that he register as a sex offender for the same period. The judge emphasized that Pullen would serve half of his sentence in custody and the remainder on license, underscoring the severity of his offenses and the importance of ongoing supervision.
