A man has been handed a severe penalty that will restrict his use of public transportation for the next ten years following an incident involving a schoolgirl on a bus in Birmingham.

Stefan Sabo, aged 30, from Handsworth, pleaded guilty to charges of sexual assault related to the incident.

His sentencing included a suspended eight-month prison sentence, meaning he will not serve time unless he breaches certain conditions.

In addition to the jail term, Sabo was ordered to comply with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), which specifically bans him from using buses during peak hours until the year 2026.
