Michael Pinder, who has links to Coventry, was found guilty of child sex offences in his absence and a manhunt was launched to find the 23-year-old. Pinder, from Handsworth, Birmingham, had been missing since October 19 but was eventually found and arrested in the first few days of November following a police appeal for the public’s help to track him down. He was remanded in custody and was finally sentenced on Thursday at Birmingham Crown Courtfor three counts of sexual activity with a child under 16 and offences of causing or inciting a girl under 16 to engage in sexual activity and possession of an indecent photograph of a child. Pinder was sentenced to seven years in prison. On-the-run Handsworth paedophile wanted by police A paedophile from Handsworth who has been found guilty of child sex offences is being hunted by police. Michael Pinder was given bail by magistrates at an earlier hearing – but failed to show for a trial at Birmingham Crown Court, where he was set to face a number of charges. Pinder, 23, from Handsworth, has links to Birmingham, Solihull, and Coventry, West Midlands Police revealed on Facebook. He was found guilty in his absence of three counts of sexual activity with a child under 16 and offences of causing or inciting a girl under 16 to engage in sexual activity and possession of an indecent photograph of a child. West Midlands Police added: “We would ask you not to approach Michael but to call us straightaway. “Anyone with information on Michael’s whereabouts is urged to call 101 immediately or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
