April 2012 Man distributed child porn A 40-year-old man who distributed indecent images of children on the internet has been given a three-year community order. Richard Green, of Philipscote, Evesham, who was convicted after trial, has to attend a sexual offending group programme. He was ordered to pay £500 costs and sign on the sex offender register for five years. Recorder David Mason QC, sentencing at Worcester Crown Court, told him that he should have admitted the offence rather than be convicted by a jury. But to his credit, Green had now accepted responsibility for his actions. Green was of previous good character and is now a full-time carer for a new partner. Michael Aspinall, defending, said Green was arrested after an incident four years ago when police discovered the images on a chat-line to a man in Kent.
