OSCAR CROWE'S SHOCKING FACEBOOK THREATS IN SWINDON: PERVERTED PREDATOR TARGETS MOTHERS AND BABIES
In August 2020, a disturbing case emerged involving Oscar Crowe, a 21-year-old man from Swindon, who engaged in a series of heinous online activities targeting pregnant women and new mothers.Crowe bombarded these women with sickening messages on Facebook, in which he explicitly threatened to rape them and molest their newborn babies, causing widespread alarm and distress within the community.
Initially, Crowe denied any sexual attraction to pregnant women, childbirth, or young children.
However, the gravity of his actions was laid bare during a court hearing at Swindon Crown Court, where it was revealed that just hours before his police interview regarding the Facebook messages, he was actively attempting to contact what he believed was a 12-year-old girl via Skype.
In reality, this girl was an undercover police officer, and Crowe was using an alias, Tim Trillon, during the chat.
During this illicit conversation, Crowe inquired about her age and expressed his approval upon learning she was 12, stating, “Perfect, I love girls your age.” He then persistently asked her to send nude photographs, claiming he wanted to get her pregnant and have a home birth so he could “lick her belly and masturbate.” He also expressed disturbing intentions to molest the child after her birth, claiming it was “normal for grown-ups.” In the days leading up to his arrest, Crowe had been linked to approximately 40 social media profiles, each operating under different aliases such as Tim Trillon, Paul Blaker, Paulie Tanner, and Chris Iles.
These accounts, which have since been deleted by Facebook, were used to send explicit messages to at least six women between April and October of the previous year.
The messages often began with a seemingly innocent “Hi x” but quickly escalated into highly explicit and disturbing content.
Among the messages, Crowe made lewd comments about women’s pregnant bellies, expressed a desire to masturbate to the sight of newborns being born, and even referenced his intent to rape some of his victims.
He went as far as to name the children of some women he targeted, revealing a deeply disturbing level of fixation and predatory behavior.
One victim, residing at a mother and baby unit with her seven-month-old daughter, received messages from Crowe in August, in which he explicitly stated his desire to rape her.
Following his arrest on February 12, police seized his phone and laptop.
Crowe admitted to sending the messages, acknowledging their vile nature, but denied being aroused by childbirth or finding babies, children, or pregnant women attractive.
Despite this, the evidence against him was substantial.
During police interviews, Crowe explained that his attempt to contact the girl on Skype was intended “to put her off,” and claimed his interests were limited to “normal” adult practices such as BDSM and being called “daddy.” Victim statements from women targeted by Crowe, many of whom were acquaintances or friends of friends, described feeling sickened and horrified by the messages.
Some victims reported that Crowe continued to contact them despite warnings that they would report him to the authorities.
In court, Crowe pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including attempted sexual communication with a child, harassment, and four offences under the Malicious Communications Act.
He appeared in the dock dressed in a suit and tie, with a beard, and was met with stern words from Judge Jason Taylor QC.
The judge condemned Crowe’s actions, emphasizing the impact on the victims and the community.
He stated, “It’s not hard to see or imagine why such unsavoury messages would make the women feel so disgusted, horrified and unsettled, especially when you were so persistent.
Pregnancy can be a difficult enough time without the unnecessary burden and anxiety you created.” As part of his sentence, Crowe was handed a 15-month jail term, which was suspended for two years.
He was also ordered to complete a sex offenders’ rehabilitation program.
Additionally, the court imposed a 10-year sexual harm prevention order to restrict his access to children and mandated that he register as a sex offender for the same period, aiming to protect the community from further harm.
