NEVILLE CHAPMAN'S HORRIFIC CRIME IN BLACKBURN AND DARWEN LEADS TO 13-YEAR SENTENCE

Neville Chapman, a man aged 60, was involved in a deeply disturbing criminal case that unfolded across the towns of Blackburn and Darwen.

The incident, which took place in September 2019, involved the sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl after she was lured into a campervan under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Chapman, who was then 56 years old, had a long-standing history of cannabis use and was under the influence of cocaine and alcohol during the night of the assault.

According to court proceedings, Chapman and his companions had been out drinking and using drugs in Darwen on September 16, 2019.

During the course of the evening, a teenage girl joined their group.

To her dismay, Chapman began to ply her with double vodkas and cocaine, which left her severely intoxicated, as she later described in her victim personal statement, feeling
