Description Rapist Mustafa Musa has been jailed for eight years. The 23-year-old, of Lionel Grove, Hartshill, has been locked up after earlier being convicted of separate charges of rape and sexual assault. It was one night when a woman woke up to find Musa sexually assaulting her. He then raped her - despite her shouting for him to stop. Cheshire Police were called in following the Crewe attack. Following the Chester Crown Court sentence, a police spokesman said: "I would like to commend the victim for the courage she has shown throughout this case. Musa lied his way through this investigation and subsequent trial, showing absolutely no remorse for the ordeal he put the victim through. But thanks to the victim’s bravery and the evidence we gathered, the jury was able to see through his lies and he is now finally being held accountable for his actions.” Musa has also been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders' Register for the rest of his life. The police spokesman added: “If anything can be achieved from this case, I hope that it encourages other victims of sexual offences to come forward and report them to us. We treat all reports extremely seriously and any allegation will be thoroughly investigated with the wishes and needs of the victim as our main priority.”
