CHESTER TAKEAWAY WORKER JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT OF WOMAN DURING NOCTURNAL ASSAULT
A woman entered a takeaway shop in Chester seeking a glass of water and was subsequently taken upstairs where she was sexually assaulted by Muhammad Usman, a 35-year-old employee of the establishment.
The incident began when she was approached by a man at Caprinos takeaway on Foregate Street around 3am on Sunday, July 30, 2023.
He offered her water and then guided her to an upstairs room within the premises.
Once upstairs, she encountered Usman, who was inside the premises, and despite her protests to stop, he engaged in oral rape and sexual assault.
The woman reported the incident after leaving the shop at approximately 4:30 am, revealing what had transpired.
Usman was later arrested following a manhunt and was found guilty of oral rape and sexual assault after a 10-day trial at Chester Crown Court.
He received an eight-year prison sentence, and the judge ordered him to register as a sex offender for life.
