MAN JAILED FOR DOMESTIC ABUSE AGAINST FORMER PARTNER
Hezekiah Perks appeared before Chester Crown Court on Friday, 8 May, where he received a prison sentence of three years and six months.The 38-year-old resident of Tattenhall Lane in Chester had previously admitted to two counts of assault and the crime of perverting the course of justice.
Perks was detained in May 2025 after an incident involving a physical attack on the victim.
After his arrest, the woman involved courageously told the police about the ongoing abuse she endured at Perks’s hands.
She described his behavior as a persistent campaign of control and jealousy.
He would frequently restrict her contact with others, dictating who she could see and communicate with, and effectively isolating her from her family and friends.
He also contacted her workplace to manipulate her interactions with colleagues.
These charges were brought against him following a thorough police investigation into the matter.
