RISCA MAN MICHAEL EVANS FOUND GUILTY OF CHILD INDECENT IMAGE OFFENSES IN NEWPORT

In a significant case that has drawn considerable attention in the Risca community and beyond, Michael Evans, a 67-year-old resident of Vale View in Risca, was convicted yesterday at Newport Crown Court on multiple charges related to the creation and possession of indecent images of children. The court proceedings revealed a disturbing pattern of behavior involving the possession of both indecent and non-nude images, raising serious concerns about the safety and well-being of minors depicted in these photographs.

According to court records, Evans was found guilty of nine counts of making indecent images of children, with these offenses spanning from October 2009 to February 2010. In addition, he was convicted of possessing a total of 209 indecent images of children, a discovery that shocked many in the local community. The evidence against Evans was uncovered after police investigations that began when he took his laptop to a computer repair shop in Risca.
