May 2013 Pervert gets 19 years A PERVERT has been sentenced to 19 years after he raped and abused young girls in Nottingham. Mark Cutts, 46, was told by Judge Andrew Hamilton it was one of the worst cases of abuse he had dealt with. Cutts “groomed” four victims, Nottingham Crown Court heard. The eldest was a 14-year-old girl and the remaining three under ten, the court heard. The judge told Cutts, who had denied the charges: “You have shown no sign of remorse for your evil ways you had with these children over a long period of time. “I take the view you represent a risk to girls, particularly prepubescent girls.” Cutts, of Carrington Road, Spalding, Lincolnshire, was found guilty of 16 charges, including attempting to commit a serious sexual offence, indecency with a child, indecent assaults and multiple rapes. He will serve two-thirds of his 19-year sentence and the remainder on licence. The judge added an extended licence of eight years, to begin when the 19-year term ends. And the ordered he sign the sex offenders’ register for life. After the case, the judge thanked the jury, who had heard the trial, and said it had been a very difficult case.
