KYLE FOURIE FROM SOUTHAMPTON CAUGHT IN CHILD PORN AND CLOWN COSTUME AT SAINTS GAMES
In a disturbing series of events, Kyle Fourie, a known resident of Southampton and a season ticket holder at Southampton Football Club, has been linked to multiple serious criminal offenses involving child exploitation and inappropriate behavior at football matches. It has been revealed that Fourie, who previously served time for possessing indecent images of children, took his misconduct further by dressing up as a clown during Saints’ home games.
His intention, according to reports, was to attract families and children to have their photographs taken with him, which raised significant concerns among law enforcement officials.
Officers were particularly alarmed when Fourie openly discussed his plans to attend matches dressed in humorous costumes, knowing that such behavior could pose a risk to young fans.
Fourie’s criminal history is extensive.
In April 2016, he was convicted of possessing indecent images after authorities discovered over 100 videos depicting boys and girls aged between five and thirteen.
Just four days following his conviction, he was formally charged with additional offenses related to these images.
Despite being under a sexual harm prevention order, which was imposed during his initial sentencing, Fourie continued to engage in illegal activities.
During ongoing investigations, law enforcement uncovered that he possessed numerous briefcases filled with newspaper clippings about child abuse cases, along with handwritten notes and stories that depicted sexual activities involving children.
His troubling behavior escalated in February of the following year when paedophile hunters TRAP exposed him.
Under the guise of a 13-year-old boy named Tyler on Facebook, Fourie believed he was communicating with a minor with the intent to meet and abuse him.
Instead, he was contacting members of the vigilante group.
Fourie sent sexually explicit messages and arranged to meet the supposed child outside a school in Millbrook.
When he arrived at the designated location, he was confronted by members of TRAP.
The police were called, and officers arrested him.
During the arrest, they discovered in his rucksack a collection of pornography, condoms, and sexual enhancement tablets.
A subsequent raid on his home uncovered additional illegal material, including DVDs featuring children in explicit scenarios.
Prosecutor James Newton-Price informed the court that law enforcement officers had grown increasingly concerned about Fourie’s activities during unannounced visits to his property.
Despite being under a sexual harm prevention order, Fourie continued to attend Southampton Football Club matches, often dressed as a clown, which made him a particular risk to children.
The court was told that in July 2016, officers found magazines and newspaper cuttings related to child abuse and kidnapping stories, further illustrating his obsession with such material.
Fourie’s criminal record includes multiple convictions for possessing indecent images of children.
Additionally, in 2010, he was cautioned after admitting to taking a photograph of a child on the toilet while volunteering at Mencap in Southampton.
His latest hearing concluded with Judge Christopher Parker QC sentencing him to a hospital order.
The judge specified that Fourie would only be released once he is deemed fit by the Secretary of State or a tribunal, emphasizing the serious nature of his offenses and the ongoing risk he poses to the community.
