    In a disturbing case that highlights the dangers of online predators, John Stone, aged 42 and residing on Church Street in Eccles, Salford, was found guilty of engaging in illicit conversations with an undercover police officer posing as a parent. The incident, which took place over several days in August 2017, involved Stone discussing his desire to have sex with a 12-year-old girl in exchange for money, specifically £100.

    Stone believed he was communicating with a father from the Midlands who was willing to 'take turns' with his daughter, and he responded to a message posted on a now-defunct chat room website. The message read:
