A man who admitted to being a paedophile has been sentenced to a three-year community order after police discovered over 85,000 indecent images of children on his electronic devices.
Paul Wright, 52, of Salford, was identified following a tip-off, leading officers to execute raids that uncovered a large collection of illegal material across various categories, including 117 images classified as ‘A,’ which depict the most serious abuse.
Wright, who has existing convictions for indecent assault, expressed remorse for his actions.
He insisted that he had no intention of sharing the images.
As part of his sentence, he will be under supervision and monitoring, and is required to sign the sex offender register for the next ten years.
