In a disturbing development that has sent shockwaves through the Nottingham community, John Chambers, a former musician known for his association with the pop group Paper Lace, has admitted to possessing indecent images of children. The incident came to light in January 2005 when police conducted a search of his residence in Nottingham's Aspley area.During the search on August 20, police discovered a video tape containing images classified as the lowest category of child pornography. The tape was found at Chambers' home, and it was revealed that he had previously been in possession of the material. According to court reports, Chambers attempted to return the tape upon realizing its disturbing content, indicating a level of remorse or recognition of wrongdoing.
