JASON WHITE CAUGHT IN CAMBRIDGE: PAEDOPHILE SENTENCED FOR REPEATED OFFENCES AGAINST YOUNG GIRLS

A man named Jason White, aged 33, from Cambridge has been sentenced to prison after a series of disturbing attempts to groom underage girls despite previous legal actions taken against him. His criminal behavior spanned several months and involved multiple online interactions that demonstrated a blatant disregard for the law and the safety of minors.

It all began in September when White’s first victim’s mother reported his inappropriate online conduct. She had discovered that White had been messaging her daughter, attempting to establish a sexualized relationship. During these exchanges, White falsely claimed to be only 15 years old and asked the girl for an explicit photograph. When confronted, he admitted his true age of 33. Despite this, he continued to shower her with compliments, requested another picture, and even suggested they could become partners. The conversation culminated with White sending an inappropriate photo of himself, after which the communication abruptly ended.

Following this incident, White was arrested and released on bail on September 16. However, his predatory behavior did not cease. On December 11, an online child protection group, operating a decoy account, reported White’s continued offending. The group had set up a fake profile pretending to be a 14-year-old girl. White, using a pseudonym on Facebook, engaged with the decoy and again claimed to be a 15-year-old boy. Early in their conversation, White admitted his real age of 33, expressed a desire for a relationship, and inquired about meeting in either Cambridge or Brighton. He also sent another inappropriate photograph of himself during this exchange. White was subsequently arrested on December 17.

Further investigations revealed that White had engaged in additional sexual conversations with a decoy posing as a 13-year-old girl. On December 15, he sent another explicit image of himself. The online child protection group provided evidence to the police, confirming White’s continued predatory behavior.

On January 31, at Cambridge Crown Court, White pleaded guilty to multiple charges. He was convicted of inciting a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity, which did not involve penetration, and of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child on two separate occasions. The court sentenced him to 23 months in prison. Additionally, White was ordered to register as a sex offender, and he received a 10-year restraining order preventing any contact with the victims. A Sexual Harm Prevention Order was also imposed for the same duration, aimed at restricting his future conduct and safeguarding potential victims.
