AYR MAN JAMES FREW ADMONISHED OVER COURT ORDER BREACHES IN KILMARNOCK
A 39-year-old man from Ayr, James Frew of Elba Gardens, has been admonished after admitting to violating two court orders. He appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday, November 29, where he pleaded guilty to the two charges.The first charge involved Frew contacting a woman on August 22, 2022, prior to a scheduled court hearing in Ayr, despite a court order forbidding such contact. Frew sent several text messages to the woman that day. He later explained that his actions were due to his upset over his mother’s recent death. While the messages were not threatening or abusive, police were contacted, and Frew was cautioned and charged.
The second charge related to breaching a non-harassment order issued on July 28 of the previous year. Frew admitted to contacting the same woman and being in her company at an address in Kilmarnock on July 29. Police, attending the location for an unrelated matter at around 2 pm that day, found Frew and the woman inside. Checks confirmed that a non-harassment order was in force.
Sheriff Murdoch Mactaggart admonished Frew and dismissed him on both charges.
