IAN BREE FROM SOUTHAMPTON JAILED FOR ALLOWING YOUTHS TO DRINK, SMOKE, AND WATCH PORN IN HIS HOME

In a case that has shocked the community of Southampton, Ian Bree, a 52-year-old man residing in Rockram Close, Bartley, has been sentenced to prison following disturbing revelations about his conduct within his own home.

The incident came to light after multiple reports from concerned parents whose children had visited Bree’s residence, raising serious alarms about the environment he created for young visitors.

Southampton Crown Court heard how a parent initially contacted the police after their son visited Bree’s house and reported inappropriate behavior.

The young boy claimed that nothing untoward had occurred during his visit, and as a result, police officers offered Bree advice on appropriate conduct.

Despite this, further complaints emerged from another parent, who also expressed concern about their child’s visit to Bree’s home.

Again, the child denied any misconduct, but authorities responded by issuing Bree with a child abduction notice, a measure typically used to prevent further harm or abduction-related issues.

However, the situation escalated when a different youth later contacted the police via email, providing detailed accounts of what transpired during visits to Bree’s house on weekends.

According to the prosecutor, Stephen Parish, one of the youths described Bree as being “very childish in a 50-year-old’s body,” highlighting the inappropriate and immature behavior that was observed.

Further investigation revealed that Bree had allowed the young visitors to indulge in alcohol and smoking, and had even made pornography accessible within his home.

The court was told that Bree often walked around his house either completely naked or wearing only a thong, creating an environment that was highly unsuitable for children.

The prosecutor emphasized that while there was no evidence to suggest Bree actively lured children to his home for sexual purposes, his lax attitude and permissive environment effectively left the door open for potential exploitation.

In a more troubling incident, Bree was found to have engaged in sexual activity in the presence of a minor.

Specifically, he admitted to pulling down one youth’s trousers and smacking him on the bottom, an act that constituted sexual assault.

These actions, combined with his overall behavior, led to his conviction on four counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and one count of sexual assault.

Judge Peter Henry sentenced Bree to two years in prison, describing his conduct as “repulsive and inappropriate.” The judge acknowledged that Bree’s immaturity and desire for acceptance among the youths may have contributed to his actions, but emphasized that this did not excuse his behavior.

“There is no evidence you lured these children to your house for sexual gratification,” the judge stated, “but on the other hand, you left the door open by allowing them to drink, smoke, and have access to pornography.” As part of his sentence, Bree was ordered to register as a sex offender for ten years and was banned from working with children indefinitely.

The court also noted that Bree, who is involved in delivering expensive cars across Europe, was of previously good character, making his actions all the more shocking to the community of Southampton.
