GRAHAM GILMOUR SENTENCED FOR ABUSING BOYS IN BOURNEMOUTH AND SOUTHAMPTON

A 43-year-old youth worker from Hampshire, Graham Gilmour, has been handed a severe prison sentence of 14 years after being found guilty of abusing young boys over a period exceeding ten years. The crimes took place in the towns of Bournemouth and Southampton, where Gilmour held positions of trust at two different educational institutions.

Gilmour exploited his role as a youth worker to carry out a series of sexual assaults against boys who were under his care. The court heard that his misconduct included not only acts of serious abuse but also an unsettling attempt to manipulate and encourage the young victims to explore their own sexuality.
