GEORGE KEHOE FROM ORFORD SENTENCED FOR INDECENT ASSAULTS ON TEENAGE GIRLS NEAR WARRINGTON

In a case that has shocked the local community, Geoffrey Kehoe, a 50-year-old resident of Grasmere Avenue in Orford, was sentenced to four years in prison at Warrington Crown Court for a series of indecent assaults committed against two teenage girls. The incidents occurred shortly after Kehoe was released from a previous four-year imprisonment for a heinous crime involving a 10-year-old girl.

According to court proceedings, Kehoe was found guilty of nine counts of indecent assault against the two teenage victims, who are protected by legal restrictions from being publicly identified. The assaults took place over a span of two years, during which Kehoe repeatedly touched the girls' private areas. Importantly, the court clarified that no sexual penetration occurred during these incidents. Prosecutor Matthew Dunford emphasized the troubling pattern, stating, “The point is that these offences were committed very shortly after he was released from a sentence for a similar offence.”

Details of Kehoe’s criminal history reveal a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior. In 1986, he pleaded guilty to indecency with a child, which resulted in a four-year prison sentence. He was released in February 1988, but within months, he resumed his abusive conduct, targeting two other children on a very regular basis. The court was told that Kehoe’s actions had a profound impact on the victims and the community.

During the trial, Kehoe’s defense attorney, Mark Lebrocq, argued that Kehoe had not committed any offenses since 1990 and highlighted the personal suffering he had endured as a consequence of his past actions. The defense also claimed that one of the girls had given consent to the sexual contact, a point contested by the prosecution.

Judge David Hale delivered a stern judgment, reminding Kehoe of his past guilty plea in 1986 and the subsequent four-year sentence.
