DANNY GOULD FROM SWINDON SENTENCED TO 18 MONTHS FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES INVOLVING A CHILD
A man residing in Swindon has been handed down an 18-month prison sentence after being found guilty of attempting to engage in sexual activities with a minor.Danny Gould, aged 27 and living on Whitehead Street in Swindon, appeared before Swindon Crown Court on a recent Friday to face charges related to his online conduct.
According to court records, Gould was involved in social media conversations with an individual believed to be only 14 years old.
These interactions, which took place between April 2 and May 9, 2024, were of a sexual nature, with Gould attempting to initiate sexual communication and persuade the minor to engage in sexual activities.
The case highlighted serious concerns about online safety and the exploitation of minors, prompting the court to take stringent measures.
It was revealed that Gould was already on the Sex Offender’s Register at the time of these offences, and he was charged with failing to adhere to the registration requirements, which is a breach of legal obligations for registered offenders.
In addition to his prison sentence, Gould was subjected to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
This order is designed to restrict his activities and prevent any further harm, ensuring he remains under supervision for an unspecified period.
The court’s decision underscores the severity of his actions and the ongoing efforts to protect minors from online predators in Swindon and beyond.
